Sinhalese Samanala kanda "Butterfly Mountain", and also "Sri Paadaya"; Tamil Sivanolipatha Malai , is a 2,243 m (7,359 ft) tall Conical Mountain located in Central Sri Lanka. It is well known for the Sri Pada, The climbing season is between December & May , as the heavy rains & strong winds during the other parts of the year make the ascent difficult & very risky.
